Search Engine At The Top

User experience is all about finding the content in the least number of steps. Also, the search bar should be prominent and well-placed. That’s why we have embedded the search bar at the top of each page; you visit on Livecoding.tv.

The search bar in the earlier design was not so prominent.

  • It might be just me, but I find the https://www.livecoding.tv/livestreams/ page very cluttered and tiring to look at. There way too many colors and small buttons. (black, red, green, yellow, two shades of blue, etc...).

Also I think the searchbar is too large and I don't think the search function is used as much as on other content websites. Instead of having it at the middle-top of the page, I think it would fit better in the sidebar.

As for the videos, the [FEATURED] tag is again, too large and tiring on the eyes. Maybe have it as a small ribbon on the corner of the video (http://bit.ly/28XhDee)

Also, it's a bit confusing you can go to the "Livestreams" tab but the videos still have the "LIVE" tag on top of them. Shouldn't all videos in the "lviestreams" category be, well, live?

Just my feedback on the current site design.

TL;DR: The site looks messy and is very tiring to look at or to browse through the streams without your eyes jumping eveywhere.
