Livecoding.tv: Playlists

Playlists

Livecoding.tv is a site for live streaming code, but there’s a substantial library of recorded streams as well. Playlists make it easy to organize these videos.

Features

Anyone with a Livecoding.tv account can view and create playlists. To look at a user’s playlists, go to their profile. Click on the “Playlist” tab in the description, located directly under the user’s stream. If the user has any saved playlists you’ll see them here.

To create a playlist click on the “Add” button located in the description under the video player of a recorded video. Select an existing playlist from the dropdown list or create a new playlist on the spot. You can find your saved videos the same way you would view the playlists of another user, by going to your profile and clicking “Playlists” under your stream.

Playlists are a good way to organize recorded videos when you’re working on more than one project. They also allow you to browse and save content for later viewing if you’re short on time or not able to view the material right away.

Example

Livecoding.tv is a great place to learn new coding languages and develop skill. Playlists make it easy to organize and save videos based on your interests. Take the user wesc, a novice developer using primarily HTML and WordPress. His playlists are divided into two categories, one to increase proficiency in HTML and the other to introduce himself to PHP.
