We are excited to be working on Livecoding.tv, a peer-to-peer live streaming platform for watching people code products live. Actually, this is sort of a second announcement as we were picked up by the r/javascript about a week ago, generating some early buzz that we were not quite ready for!
Anyway what exactly is Livecoding.tv and why should you care?
Ok lets back up here and actually explain ourselves. My name is Jamie @jcbgreen and my co-founder is Michael @drmjg_7, and we started working on Livecoding.tv in August 2014. We looked at the ways that people are currently learning programming, and found that there is a bit of a problem.
What happens is that most people learn some basic concepts. There are some great sites such as Codecademy, Coursera, Udemy, Teamtreehouse, Codeschool, Pluralsight and Lynda which help with that, but they get stuck and often give up at the point where they are challenged to combine all the different concepts together to create real products. The frustration and pain points in programming is not learning the basic concepts, but creating something real. This is where Livecoding.tv comes in.
We are a funded startup and our team includes engineers (streaming, Python, Django, Frontend), graphic designers and tech marketers.
We are not focused on teaching basics of coding but rather production level coding. Livecoding.tv blends education with entertainment, socializing and killing time/boredom to combine into something we hope will be pretty great! You will be able to watch professional coders build real products and, if you are a subscriber, you will be able to ask questions and even access the source code. We will be covering most of the major languages to begin with. If your favorite language is not there yet, let us know and we will consider adding it for future releases.
If you are interested in streaming yourself, we have a very attractive incentive program for engineers who sign up on Livecoding.tv as streamers. If you want to know more and grab a streaming key to be one of first streamers; add yourself to the invite list as a streamer.
We are working hard to bring you the first version of our product really soon, and would love to hear your thoughts and input by tweeting us @livecodingtv, or you can email me directly at jamie@livecoding.tv.
Sign up for an invite and we will let you know soon when we are ready for you!

Why the hek i'll watching people coding!
Its not only about watching livestreams. You could interact with the streamers as well as your programming peers on the platform. Hope that makes it interesting enough ;)
Coding streaming is one of the new trends coming to the internet this 2015. After the release of Game Development channel on Twitch, many programmers have decided to increase their activity on the social internet.
It's great to say how we'll be supporting this with a full platform built specially for streaming coding videos.
Yh, we look forward to how events will turn out for our platform. Thanks for your support! :)
