Education Ecosystem is thrilled to announce that project videos are now transcoded and this will improve the streaming experience. We transcoded over 1000 projects, and now you will be able to watch the projects in 3 different resolutions: 540p , 720p and 1080p.

What is transcoding

Transcoding is the process of converting a video file from one format, resolution, or bitrate to another. It involves decoding the original file, altering its characteristics, and re-encoding it into a new format or configuration. 

For example, if a video is too large to stream efficiently, it can be transcoded to a lower resolution, which will make it more accessible. Similarly, a video file that was originally created in a format that is not compatible with a particular software may need to be transcoded to a different format in so that it is usable on that device or platform

What does it mean for Education Ecosystem’s content

You can now watch the projects in 3 different resolutions: 540p, 720p and 1080p. This allows for efficient and seamless streaming, and will improve your watching experience. The video will automatically choose which resolution is best for you, depending on your internet connection.
